The Chargers have struggled on the road in recent weeks, and traveling to Baltimore will be no easy task. The Ravens strong defense should keep QB Phillip Rivers and RB Ryan Mathews in check.
The Ravens are only allowing 88 rushing yards a game, while gaining 133 rushing yards a game on offense. This could prove to be the difference in the game.

The Detroit Lions head east to Gillette Stadium with hopes of slowing down QB Tom Brady and the Patriots high powered offense. The Lions entered the season also expecting their offense to put up a lot of points. However, injuries to WR Calvin Johnson and RB Reggie Bush have slowed them down. They have been winning games thanks to their defense.
The Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski has been a beast the past few weeks. Add a hot RB Jonas Gray to the mix, and the Patriots seem to be unstoppable. They should win at home this week, but the Lions defense should keep it low scoring.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers head to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears. Both teams are coming off solid wins last weekend. The 4-6 Bears held off the Vikings 21-13 and recorded their first home win since Week 14 of last season.
The 2-8 Bucs ended their 5-game losing streak by easily taking care of the Washington Redskins last weekend 27-7. Rookie WR Mike Evans had another huge game as he totaled 209 yards and two TDs.
The Bears have a better running and passing game than the Redskins, so they should be able to put up enough points to pull this one out.

This won’t be the most exciting matchup to watch, but hey, you’re not looking for entertainment value are you? You’re looking for a winner…right? QB Brian Hoyer has settled in and keeps finding ways to win. Not really from an overpowering offense, but mainly from the help of the Brown’s defense. RB’s Terrance West and Ben Tate will continue to pound the ball on the ground and eat up time of possession.
QB Ryan Mallet makes his NFL starting debut in this game. Although he had success in college, we have seen there is a learning curve for young QB’s in the NFL. The Texans only chance in this game is if RB Arian Foster can break off a few long TD runs and their defense can get a pick 6 (or 2).

It’s not rocket science on this one. Two stingy defenses and two offenses that have been inconsistent all season. I see a low scoring game here.

The Miami Dolphins are hot! They have won 3 in a row, including last week’s beat down of the San Diego Chargers 37-0. A big part of the Dolphins success has been due to their rushing game. They are averaging 137 yds per game led by RB Lamar Miller’s 4.9 yds per carry. The Lions, however, are only allowing 79 yds game rushing. So we’ll see if the Dolphins can continue to dominate the line of scrimmage and count on their rushing game, or have to depend on QB Ryan Tannehill’s arm this week.
The Detroit Lions are coming off a bye week – which they needed to get some of their studs healthy. Averaging only 259 yds a game passing, QB Matthew Stafford and WR Calvin Johnson need to get on track to help keep the Lions in the playoff hunt. The Lions are at home, and their defense is only allowing 15.8 pts per game.

QB E.J. Manuel out. Insert QB Kyle Orton. So far…so good. Right? WR Sammy Watkins seems to think so. Sammy has had a few monster games with Orton taking over as QB. The Buffalo Bills have been an unexpected surprise to their AFC East rivals and a nice surprise for their fans. The question remains…Can their offense continue to put up points without RB’s Jackson and Spiller?
The Kansas City Chiefs have been an up and down team so far this year. “Up” mainly at home. “Down”…well, you know the rest. The Chiefs are not flashy, but they have a solid running game and seem to get the job done when needed. They need to find ways to win on the road, however, if they want to keep pace with their Division Rivals Denver Broncos.

The Jets are hoping the month of November is more kind than their winless month of October. The Jets were shredded at home last week by the Bills 43-23 due in large part to 6 turnovers. Is backup QB Michael Vick the answer? We shall see.
The Chiefs, on the other hand are riding momentum, winning 4 of their last 5 games. A solid 34-7 win at home against the Rams last week should give the Chiefs confidence going forward. RB Jamaal Charles had a nice 2-TD game and the Chiefs defense was able to sack QB Austin Davis 7 times.

The high powered Chargers offense travels to Miami hoping to rebound from their 35-21 loss at Denver last Thursday night. QB Phillip Rivers had 3 TD passes, however, his 2 interceptions were costly turnovers the Chargers couldn’t overcome. Their running game has also been stagnant the past few games. RB Brandon Oliver needs to get back on track against a tough Miami run defense.
The Miami Dolphins return home after 2 solid wins in Chicago and Jacksonville. QB Ryan Tannehill needs a big game if the Dolphins expect to keep up with the Chargers. Miami’s defense should help keep them in this game.
